Terms and Conditions

Important: PillRem is a reminder and tracking tool. It does not give medical advice and does not replace a doctor or pharmacist. Always follow their instructions and talk to them before changing any treatment.

1. Who we are

PillRem is developed by an independent developer (hereinafter, "the Developer"). Contact: contactus@pillremapp.com.

2. Accepting these terms

By downloading, installing or using PillRem you confirm that you are at least 16 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, and that you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the application. The Developer may update these Terms; continuing to use PillRem after a change means you accept the new version. Apple’s standard license agreement for apps (EULA) also applies.

3. What the app does

  • Reminders: notifications for each dose, plus optional critical alerts (Pro).
  • Scanner: identifies medications from their boxes, for medications from more than 40 countries. It may not recognise every medication; you can always add one by hand.
  • Profiles: medication for several people (Pro).
  • Adherence: a record and charts of doses taken, skipped and missed.
  • iCloud sync: between your own Apple devices.
  • Widgets and Live Activity: doses on the Home Screen, the Lock Screen and the Dynamic Island (Pro).
  • Nearby pharmacies and PIN or Face ID lock (Pro).

4. Free and Pro

PillRem is free to download and use, with limits, and has no advertising in any version. The free version includes one profile, a limited number of active medications (the current limit is shown in the app), the scanner, reminders and the last 7 days of adherence.

PillRem Pro adds up to 8 profiles, no limit on active medications, the full adherence history with charts, custom notifications, critical alerts, Home Screen widgets, the Live Activity, nearby pharmacies, the PIN and Face ID lock and the medicine cabinet history.

5. Purchases and subscriptions

Pro is available as a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription or a one time lifetime purchase, all handled by Apple through the App Store:

  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • You can cancel at any time in your App Store account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
  • If Pro ends, your data is kept, and the free version’s limits apply again.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies and the law that applies to you.
  • Prices are shown in the App Store before you buy and vary by country or region.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile or modify the application, try to access its systems without permission, or use it to send unsolicited or harmful content.

7. Limitation of liability

PillRem is a support tool and should not be your only way of managing medication. The Developer does not guarantee that the application is free of errors or that every notification will be delivered: this depends on your device, its settings and the permissions you grant.

The medication information PillRem fills in may be incomplete or out of date. The Developer makes reasonable efforts to keep it accurate and up to date but cannot guarantee it. Always check the leaflet and ask your pharmacist if in doubt.

To the extent allowed by law, the Developer is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the application. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by law.

8. Adverse reactions

If you have an unexpected reaction to a medication, contact a healthcare professional straight away. PillRem is not a channel for reporting adverse reactions to health authorities.

9. Intellectual property

All rights to PillRem, including its code, design, name and content, belong to the Developer. You receive a limited, personal, non exclusive and non transferable license to use the application.

10. Privacy

The use of your data is described in the Privacy Policy. Your health data stays on your device and in your own iCloud; the Developer does not have access to it.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws that apply to the Developer, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rights of the country where you live.
